11 November 2015 – Citing an enormous loss of $100 to $240 billion dollars in uncollected global corporate income tax revenues each year, Oh Joon, President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) today stressed the need to curb tax evasion and avoidance and called for stronger international tax cooperation.

Ban condemns ‘despicable’ terrorist attacks in Paris, demands immediate release of reported hostages

13 November 2015 – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the “despicable terrorist attacks” carried out today in various locations in and around Paris and demanded the immediate release of the numerous individuals reportedly being held hostage in the Bataclan theatre.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, the Secretary-General condemned the multiple attacks that took place in the French capital.
