Published in Cape May County Herald.

Before boarding a flight, residents of Cape May County often have to make a lengthy drive out of the region. Whether traveling across the country or the world, locals face significant obstacles caused by limited nearby flight options and underutilized airports that offer far fewer services than their names suggest.

A good economic system

Author
Kamala Budhathoki 'Sarup'
A good economic system features selfish incentives for creative and hardworking people. It is a system where selfishness benefits both the producer and the consumer, since the latter is the final arbiter of what is sold, as "the consumer is king." Since a bad economic/political's economy will lack adequate incentives, its workers will not produce well.

Published in Cape May County Herald.

Cape May County, with its unspoiled beaches, historic character, and frenzied summer resort tourism, is confronted with a stealthy issue that threatens to undermine its economic growth and destroy the visitor experience: the lack of a public transportation system. Democrats Have Inspiring Vision of U.S.

Published in Cape May County Herald.

I’m thrilled to be supporting Mikie Sherrill, the just-nominated Democratic candidate for governor of New Jersey, who has just cemented her presence on the national scene. While advancing immigration reform and measures that benefit working- and middle-class families, the state has become more hospitable to both visitors and small companies under her leadership. The principles that keep me returning to the Democratic Party, election after election, are embodied by leaders like Mikie.

United States unites for Peace in Israel and Palestine

Author
Kamala Budhathoki 'Sarup'
People across the United States are coming together in big cities to ask Israel and Hamas, a group in Palestine, to stop fighting. I joined this effort too. I'm suggesting that Israel and Palestine should stop fighting and try to find a way to end the wars without making things worse. To achieve long-lasting peace between the two countries, I think there should be two steps.

The first step is for Israel and Palestine to agree to a cease-fire. This would be the starting point for talking about how to make peace.

From my journal "My uncle was murdered by Maoists"

By Kamala Sarup

Now my uncle is murdered by Maoists. My uncle was taken advantage of by the murderous political system. So his death was grievous enough. I'm standing next to his dead body with a pain-filled spirit. He was a great poet. Many people in my family used to tell me that when they met me. As a result, I read most of his poems. Moreover, he used to provide me for my reading of all his poems published himself. How happy he was the day that one of his poems got out.
